| The
development of TiN in the 70’s of last century was
used on cutting tools and associated industries.
There after, hard coating was accepted as an effective
way to increase the productivity and to reduce the
production cost. In the machining industry, the
key reason of manufacturing cost reduction depends
not merely on the increase in tools’ life-span,
but more importantly, on the improvement of cutting
performance, quality and the cutting speed. One
generation after another, coatings such as TiCN,
TiAlN, AlTiN, AlCrN, TiAlSiN and more, allow the
cutting technology to make great advancements by
leaps and bounds. |
